do I submit a Listing?
To submit a listing in the Directory just click on Submit Listing
in the menu at the top or left hand side, this will take you directly
to a page where you can add your details, select your categories
and create a Login and Password.

Why
do I have to wait until my listing is approved before I can see
it in the directory?
All listing submissions are manually checked prior to appearing
in our Directory, this is to prevent inappropriate entries finding
their way into the Directory and abuse of our Terms of Use.

How
long does the Listing last?
All directory listings are valid for a year. We will occasionally
email registered users with Free listings to ensure that they
are still valid.

Can
I make changes to my Listing?
Yes you can make changes to your listing at any time.

do I make changes to my Listing?
You need to login in using the Login and Password you created
when you first submitted your listing to the directory. Then you
can alter any details you wish.

What
is a Free Listing?
A Free Listing provides you with the ability to enter a125 character
description, list your business in up to 3 categories, add your
address and a telephone number completely free of charge.

I
have added my Free Listing, why has part of my description disappeared?
Due to database scripting limitations we have to set an overall
maximum character limitation. This means that the character counter
has to be set to the maximum for our Professional listings and
can not be set individually for each listing. The number of characters
allocated to Free listings is 125.

How
do I upgrade my Listing?
Before you can upgrade to a paid listing you need to have added
a Free listing to the Directory. Once your listing is present
and approved you can upgrade your listings from
here.

Can
I add links to my site or email in a Free Listing?
We do not allow any website links, email links or text addresses
to be displayed in Free listings, if any are found or reported
you will be given 24 hours to remove them after which, if they
are still present your listing will be removed from the directory.
Our paid listings provide these additional features and are extremely
reasonably priced, including any unauthorised links in your Free
listing is considered to be abuse of our Terms of Use and of our
goodwill.

If
I see a Free Listing with web or email links what should I do?
If you find a Free Listing in our directory which contains either
a website address or an email link, please report it to
info@smallbizpages.co.uk and we will contact the listing
owner.

I
have lost my login/password how can I find it again?
We do not keep records of your Login or Password, if you lose
your login or password you will need to follow this simple procedure
- First find your listing in the Directory
- click on your entry
- at the top of the page you will see the category you are listed
in, followed by your entry name and in brackets after your name
an ID number
- Make a note of the ID number
- Click on User Login in the menu to the right of the page
- Under the login form you will see Password Reminder click
on this
- Enter your ID number when asked to do so
Your Login and Password will be sent to the email you registered
with, so it is a good idea to keep this up to date or you will
not be able to re-access your details.

many categories can I be listed in?
You can be listed in up to 3 categories.

My
Listing has been rejected - why?
You may have entered a website or email link or text in your
description or company name, or your email address may have been
rejected by the system as invalid. Please remember that only paid
listings can contain website links and all paid listings include
a spam protected email facility. Your business might not be a
UK business.

Do
you pass on my details to anybody else?
We do not sell, lease, lend or release any details to any other
person or company about the businesses or therapists listed in
our directory.

Why
doesn't my website link work?
Your website link needs to be in the following format to work
correctly - http://www.yoursite.com if you enter a link without
the http:// it simply will not connect to your website.

How
do I use the Search Facility?
To find a Business Type enter the type of business you
are searching for,
e.g. If you enter farm food into the box and click on the
Search button the search engine will find listings such as farm
shops, farmers markets etc., if you already know the name of the
business you are looking for simple enter this into the search
box instead e.g. Oakdene Farm will find the listing for
only that business.
The
Product search box will search for products which have
been uploaded to the Business and Professional listings which
have this additional facility.
The
Image search box looks for Gallery images in the Professional
listings.

Can
you add a new category for me?
No I am sorry we can not add categories by request, if we were
to attempt this the directory would become unusable very quickly,
and those searching the listings would be deterred from using
our facilities. We have tried to include a broad range of categories,
which we hope will suit most people.

am trying to submit a listing but do not have a login or password
You create you user login and password yourself when you submit
a listing, please keep these details safe as you will need them
when you wish to make changes to your listing, the database automatically
encrypts your login details for your security and we can not therefore
retrieve them for you.

technical support for Free listings if you are having difficulties
please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions section. If you
have a paid listing and are experiencing difficulties which you
cannot resolve using the Frequently Asked Questions section please

It certainly is.
We use a secure checkout process that all of your payment information
is encrypted before it is submitted over the internet. At the
checkout process, ensure that browser is set to https:// and also
that the lock symbol apprears in the bottom of the status line.
This ensures that your payment information is encrypted and secure
when you are submitting your payment. We use PayPal as our main
payment method. PayPal is one of the safest, most widely accepted
ways to pay for your purchases on the Internet. It lets you use
funds from either your bank account or credit card; and you can

if I choose to pay by mail?
We will gladly accept
your payment via check or money order by regular mail if you choose
not to make your payment over the internet. Please do a screen
print of your listing and include that in your payment envelope.
Once we have received your payment, we will email you and upgrade

happens when my ad expires?
You will be notified
30 days prior to your listing expiring via an email message. you
can then log back in and renew your ad. If you choose not to renew
your ad, the status of your ad will return to strictly a "free
listing" status of business, name, address, and phone number.

We track every time
your listing is presented to a user here at SmallBizPages.co.uk.
If you log into your account, you can view the number of times
your specific listing has been viewed, the number of times your
banner ad has been viewed, and the number of times the banner
ad has been clicked on. (all of those are assuming that you have
paid for those upgraded features)
